About us

Viaduct Fishery is one of the prettiest and most natural commercial fisheries in the country. We are a family run business in Somerton, Somerset, with six well stocked lakes, luxurious holiday lodges plus an onsite tackle shop nestled in the beautiful Cary Valley. Constructed in the early eighties, the complex is very mature, with great character. A great place for if you’re an angler or just want a peaceful break with friends & family.

Our luxurious Norwegian log cabins are situated in the tranquil grounds of the prolific Viaduct Fishery where they over look Middle Lake. Choose from our Lakeside Lodges, which come with two private fishing pegs right outside your doorstep, or our brand-new to 2025 Hillside Lodges which are elevated to provide breathtaking views over the lakes, and still only 80 meters from the nearest fishing pegs - some even feature luxurious hot tubs, perfect for unwinding after a day by the water. Free WiFi, bedding & linen, heating & electric and all pleasure fishing included in the price. We have 7 lodges - offering a range of options with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms. The Lodges are beautifully designed and furnished to a high standard with fully fitted kitchens and walk in showers. Spend time on the decking area enjoying the wonderful views of the lakes and the picturesque Cary Valley. Walking distance to Somerton, the ancient capital of Wessex. Including a supermarket, numerous pubs, restaurants, takeaways plus more. Somerset and the surrounding area has so much to offer as well! Whether savouring the renowned fishing, enjoying the extensive wildlife or just chilling out; this is an excellent place to holiday for everyone. Sorry, we don't allow any pets and fishing is dawn - dusk only.
